Southwest Iowa Bowhunters
3D Archery Club
Welcome to the Southwest Iowa Bowhunters!
Our club was organized in the summer of 2009 and our first 3-D Archery Shoot was held
on August 1, 2009 at Ross Park in southern Page County.
We now have a 40 target 3-D archery course consisting of deer, bears, turkeys, and many other game animals, with shooting lanes ranging from 20 to 40 yards. There is also a target range to sight in your bow and warm up.
The Pop-Up Tournament at the Taylor County Fair was a lot of fun for all who competed. This was such a successful event that the Fair Board asked us to repeat it for this year's Fair.

Due to popular demand, we are now scoring the 12 ring on all 40 targets. Our new score cards reflect this change. Check out the Competition Results page to see how everyone did.
Our final shoot of the 2011 season was a huge success with LOTS of great prizes. Congratulations to Ty Green for taking first place at both our shoot and the Diagonal shoot.

with the Sunday Shoots open to the public ***
The 2012 season started off with much nicer weather that last year. Can you believe this weather?! And we had a great turnout for the March shoot.
This year we decided to have a shoot in April (weather permitting, af course), since the last weekend does not conflict with Easter and opening weekend of turkey hunting this year. Hope you call all join us!
Once again, Mother Nature tried to dampen our spirits for the April Shoot, but we still had several competitors brave the weather. We also had several new targets to add to our lineup for this shoot. If the rain kept you home this time, we hope you can make the May shoot.
There are six classes of competition for each shoot:
>>----> Bowhunter
>>----> Traditional
>>----> Women
>>----> Youth (ages 14 to 17)
>>----> Cub (ages 13 and under)
>>----> Open
Food and beverages are available on site during our shoots.
There is also a primative campground available for those who want to spend the night.
We look forward to having you join us for a day of fun and competition.
